Portfolio

Hello! I am Chenxi Wang. Welcome to my portfolio site.

I graduated from Jiangnan University with a bachelor's degree in industrial design and am now studying for a master's degree in digital interaction at Politecnico di Milano.

I've been learning how to become a better full stack ux designer. At currently, my primary focus is on the cross area of AI technology, XR, and UX.

I had to put a watermark on my portfolio because it had been embezzled before. If you are interested in my design projects, please contact me via email or WeChat account, I will be happy to share it with you!
Redesign of D-Heart

This project is a user research and interface optimization design project that Milan Polytechnic University cooperates with Italian D-Heart Company. User research tools such as usability testing are involved.

D-Heart is the world's first hospital-grade, portable electrocardiograph. Users can operate professional medical equipment intuitively and access 24/7 remote cardiology services through the D-Heart application, quickly receiving ECG reports from cardiology experts. During our university-enterprise collaboration, our team's main task was to analyze D-Heart's user experience and iteratively design a new D-Heart interface.

In our research process, we first conducted a heuristic evaluation and cognitive walkthrough to understand the product's overall status and determine appropriate user pathways. We then gathered preliminary user data through multi-angle user research and usability testing (including system usability assessment, user experience evaluation, interaction difficulty scales, and user experience emotion assessment). After visualizing this data and tracing specific data sources, we identified users' difficulties with medical terminology comprehension and operational flows, defined our core user group (users lacking professional ECG experience), and established redesign goals and success criteria accordingly.

In subsequent research, we used tree testing and card sorting to identify target users' mental models when using the app. We designed more intuitive linear workflows and information architecture based on users' existing habits, verifying their effectiveness through a second tree test. During the interface design development phase, we used five-second tests to determine users' preferred visual styles and A/B testing to understand the reasons behind divergent user opinions on functionality and interface. After completing the interface redesign, we again used SUS, SEQ, and other data methods to ultimately verify significant improvements in user experience ratings, task completion rates, and system usability.
